Several districts in the state received heavy summer rains yesterday. The weather is expected to continue today. Rainfall is more likely in Central Kerala, especially in Ernakulam district. According to the Central Meteorological Department, the summer monsoon is expected to intensify in the coming days. A green alert has been issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki and Malappuram districts today.
