അടുത്ത മൂന്ന് മണിക്കൂറിൽ കേരളത്തിലെ തെക്കൻ ജില്ലകളിലും, മധ്യകേരളത്തിലും 40 കിലോമീറ്റർ വരെ വീശി അടിച്ചേക്കാവുന്ന കാറ്റിനും, ഇടിമിന്നലോടുകൂടിയ മഴയ്ക്ക് സാധ്യതയുണ്ടെന്ന് കേന്ദ്ര കാലാവസ്ഥാ വകുപ്പ് അറിയിച്ചു. ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ട പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ ഏറെനേരം നീണ്ടുനിൽക്കുന്ന വേനൽ മഴ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കാം. കേരളത്തിൻറെ അതിർത്തി സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലും ഇതേ സ്ഥിതി തുടരും. ഉത്തരേന്ത്യ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലെല്ലാം പകൽസമയം ചൂടു വർധിക്കാനുള്ള സാഹചര്യമാണ് നിലവിലുള്ളത്.
The Central Meteorological Department has forecast strong winds of up to 40 km in the southern districts of Kerala and Central Kerala in the next three hours. Prolonged summer rains can be expected in isolated areas. The situation will remain the same in the border states of Kerala. The daytime temperatures are expected to rise in all the northern states. Gujarat has been the hottest country on record so far.
