ഇന്ന് (ജനുവരി 28) തെക്കൻ ബംഗാൾ ഉൾക്കടലിന്റെ മധ്യ ഭാഗങ്ങളിലും ജനുവരി 29ന് ശ്രീലങ്കൻ തീരത്തോട് ചേർന്നുള്ള തെക്ക്-പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ ബംഗാൾ ഉൾക്കടലിലും മണിക്കൂറിൽ 40 മുതൽ 45 കിലോമീറ്റർ വരെയും, ചില അവസരങ്ങളിൽ 55 കിലോമീറ്റർ വരെ വേഗതയിലും ശക്തമായ കാറ്റിനും മോശം കാലാവസ്ഥയ്ക്കും സാധ്യതയുള്ളതായി കേന്ദ്രകാലവസ്ഥാ വകുപ്പിന്റെ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ്.
ഈ സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ മുന്നറിയിപ്പുള്ള പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ മത്സ്യബന്ധനത്തിന് പോകരുതെന്ന് ജില്ലാ കളക്ടർ അറിയിച്ചു. അതേസമയം കേരള-കർണാടക-ലക്ഷദ്വീപ് തീരങ്ങളിൽ മത്സ്യബന്ധനത്തിന് തടസമില്ലെന്നും അറിയിപ്പിൽ പറയുന്നു.

The Central Meteorological Department has warned of strong winds and bad weather conditions with a speed of 40 to 45 km per hour and occasional gusts of up to 55 km per hour in central parts of South Bay of Bengal on January 28 and south-west Bay of Bengal along the Sri Lankan coast on January 29.
In this situation, the District Collector informed that people should not go fishing in the warning areas. At the same time, there is no restriction on fishing in Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts, the notification said.
