കിഴക്കൻ കാറ്റിന് ശക്തി കുറഞ്ഞതും വടക്കുകിഴക്കൻ കാറ്റ് കടന്നുവരുന്നതും പൊതുവേ കേരളത്തിൽ ശൈത്യം കൂടാൻ കാരണമാകുന്നു. തെക്കൻ കേരളത്തിലാണ് കൂടുതൽ തണുപ്പ് കൂടുവാൻ സാധ്യത.
