ഫിഷറീസ് സോഷ്യോ ഇക്കണോമിക്‌സ് സെന്‍സസ്

തൃശ്ശൂർ: കേരളത്തിലെ കടല്‍ മേഖലയിലും ഉള്‍നാടന്‍ മേഖലയിലും ഉള്‍പ്പെടുന്ന മത്സ്യത്തൊഴിലാളികളുടെ സാമൂഹിക സാമ്പത്തിക അവസ്ഥയെ സംബന്ധിക്കുന്ന വിവരശേഖരണത്തിനായി ഫിഷറീസ് വകുപ്പ് ഓരോ പത്ത് വര്‍ഷം കൂടുമ്പോഴും സോഷ്യോ ഇക്കണോമിക്‌സ് സെന്‍സസ് നടത്തുന്നു.

മത്സ്യത്തൊഴിലാളികളുടെ സാമൂഹിക അവസ്ഥ, തൊഴില്‍ വിശദാംശങ്ങള്‍ ആരോഗ്യസ്ഥിതി, വിദ്യഭ്യാസം, ഭവന സ്ഥിതി, ആസ്തികള്‍, അടിസ്ഥാന സൗകര്യങ്ങള്‍ മുതലായ വിവരങ്ങള്‍ ശേഖരിച്ച് ഫിംസില്‍ (FIMS) അപ്ലോഡ് ചെയ്യുന്നതിനും മത്സ്യത്തൊഴിലാളികളെ സംബന്ധിക്കുന്ന വിവിധതരം സാമൂഹിക സാമ്പത്തിക സൂചകങ്ങള്‍ സൃഷ്ടിക്കുകയാണ് ലക്ഷ്യം. എല്ലാ മത്സ്യത്തൊഴിലാളികളും വിവരശേഖരണവുമായി സഹകരിക്കണമെന്ന്  ഫിഷറീസ് ഡെപ്യൂട്ടി ഡയറക്ടര്‍ അറിയിച്ചു.

The Department of Fisheries conducts a Socio-Economic Census every ten years to collect information regarding the socio-economic status of fishermen in the marine and inland areas of Kerala.

The objective is to collect information on fishermen's social status, employment details, health status, education, housing status, assets, infrastructure, etc. and upload them to FIMS and generate various socio-economic indicators related to fishermen. The Deputy Director of Fisheries said that all fishermen should cooperate with the data collection.
