കാർഷിക മേഖലയിൽ അടിസ്ഥാന സൗകര്യ വികസനം ഊർജിതപ്പെടുത്താൻ കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാർ പെട്രോളിന് ലിറ്ററിന് രണ്ടു രൂപയും ഡീസലിന് ലിറ്ററിന് നാലു രൂപയും കാർഷിക സെസ് ചുമത്തി.അടിസ്ഥാന എക്സൈസ് തീരുവ,

To stimulate infrastructure development in the agricultural sector, the central government has levied an agricultural cess of Rs 2 per liter on petrol and Rs 4 per liter on diesel. The excise duty on a liter of non-branded petrol will be Rs 1.4 and Rs 1.8 on diesel. Other cess rates are 5 per cent for fertilizers including urea, 2.5 per cent for gold and silver, 100 per cent for alcohol, 7.5 per cent for refined palm oil and 35 per cent for apples.
