മില്ലറ്റ് കൃഷി വ്യാപിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന് മില്ലറ്റ് ഗ്രാമം പദ്ധതിയുമായി ആമ്പല്ലൂർ പഞ്ചായത്ത്

എറണാകുളം: ആമ്പല്ലൂർ പഞ്ചായത്തിൽ മില്ലറ്റ് ഗ്രാമം പദ്ധതിയിലൂടെ മില്ലറ്റ് കൃഷി വ്യാപിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനായി പാടശേഖരങ്ങളിൽ ചെറു ധാന്യങ്ങൾ വിതച്ചു. ആമ്പല്ലൂർ കൃഷി ഭവൻ തലത്തിൽ രൂപീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന  ചെറുമണി വനിതാ കർഷക സംഘത്തിൻ്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലാണ് ചെറു ധാന്യങ്ങൾ പടശേഖരങ്ങളിൽ നടുന്നത്. പദ്ധതിയുടെ നടീൽ ഉത്സവത്തിന്റെ ഉദ്ഘാടനം പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ  തഴേപ്പാടത്ത് നടന്ന പരിപാടിയിൽ പ്രസിഡൻ്റ് ബിജു  തോമസ് നിർവ്വഹിച്ചു.

പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ വിവിധ ഇടങ്ങളിലായി മൂന്ന് ഹെക്ടറോളം ഭൂമിയിലാണ് ഈ വർഷം ചെറു മണി വനിതാ കർഷക സംഘം ചെറുധാന്യ കൃഷി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഹരിത കേരള മിഷൻ്റെ സീറോ കാർബൺ ജനങ്ങളിലൂടെ എന്ന ക്യാമ്പയിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തും കൃഷി വകുപ്പും ഹരിത കേരള മിഷനും സംയുക്തമായിട്ടാണ് ആമ്പല്ലൂർ പഞ്ചായത്തിന്റെ വിവിധ ഭാഗങ്ങളിൽ ഈ വർഷവും വരും വർഷങ്ങളിലും മില്ലറ്റ് കൃഷി വ്യാപിപ്പിക്കുവാൻ ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നത്.

ബ്ലോക്ക് പഞ്ചായത്ത് അംഗം  ബിന്ദു സജീവ്, പഞ്ചായത്ത് വൈസ് പ്രസിഡൻ്റ്  ജയശ്രീ പത്മാകരൻ, വികസന കാര്യ സ്റ്റാൻഡിംഗ് കമ്മിറ്റി ചെയർമാൻ ബിജു പുത്തേത്തുമ്യാലിൽ, പാടശേഖര സമിതി ഭാരവാഹികളായ ഷാജി സുലൈമാൻ, സത്യപാലൻ, യോഹന്നാൻ, ബിജു താമഠത്തിൽ, കൃഷി ഓഫീസർ ശ്രീബാല അജിത്ത്, കൃഷി അസിസ്റ്റന്റ് സൂസി, ഹരിത കേരള മിഷൻ കോർഡിനേറ്റർ  രത്നാഭായി, കൃഷി ഭവൻ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ, ഹരിത കർമ്മ സേനാംഗങ്ങൾ, കർഷകർ തുടങ്ങിയവർ ചടങ്ങിൽ  പങ്കെടുത്തു.

In Amballur Panchayat, small grains have been sown in paddocks to spread millet cultivation through Millet Gramam project. The small grains are planted in padasekaras under the leadership of Cherumani Women Farmers Association formed at Amballur Krishi Bhavan level. President Biju Thomas officiated the inauguration of the project's planting festival in the event held at Thahepadam of the panchayat.

This year, Cheru Mani Women's Farmers Group is cultivating small grains on about three hectares of land in different parts of the panchayat. As part of Haritha Kerala Mission's Zero Carbon People Through Camp, Gram Panchayat, Department of Agriculture and Haritha Kerala Mission jointly aim to spread millet cultivation in different parts of Amballur Panchayat this year and in the coming years.

Block Panchayat Member Bindu Sajeev, Panchayat Vice President Jayashree Padmakaran, Development Affairs Standing Committee Chairman Biju Putethumyal, Patasekara Samiti Officers Shaji Sulaiman, Sathyapalan, Yohannan, Biju Tamathil, Agriculture Officer Sribala Ajith, Agriculture Assistant Susie, Harita Kerala Mission Coordinator Ratnabhai, Agriculture Bhavan Officers, Green Workers, Farmers etc. participated in the function.
