കൃഷിക്കായി ഒരുങ്ങി ബ്ലാന്തേവർ പാടശേഖരം : 1.15 കോടി രൂപ അനുവദിച്ചു

എറണാകുളം: കാർഷിക മേഖലയിൽ പുനരുജ്ജീവനം ലക്ഷ്യമിട്ട് മഴുവന്നൂർ പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ ബ്ലാന്തേവർ പാടശേഖരം വീണ്ടും കൃഷിക്കായി ഒരുങ്ങുന്നു. 150 ഏക്കർ സ്ഥലത്ത് വ്യാപിച്ചു കിടക്കുന്ന പാടശേഖരത്തിൽ കൃഷി ആരംഭിക്കുന്നതിനായി  നീർത്തട വികസന പദ്ധതിയിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തി 1.15 കോടി രൂപയാണ് സംസ്ഥാന സർക്കാർ അനുവദിച്ചത്.

പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ 16, 17 വാർഡുകളിലായി സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ബ്ലാന്തേവർ പാടത്ത് വർഷത്തിൽ മൂന്ന് തവണ നെൽകൃഷി ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ഏറെകാലമായി അടിക്കാടും പുല്ലുമായി തരിശായ നിലയിലാണ് പാടം. വെള്ളക്കെട്ടും അടിസ്ഥാന സൗകര്യങ്ങളുടെ അപര്യാപ്തതയും മൂലം  ഇവിടുത്തെ കർഷകർ കൃഷിയിറക്കാൻ ഏറെ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ട് അനുഭവിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഇതിനെ തുടർന്നാണ് കൃഷി വകുപ്പിന്റെ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തിൽ പദ്ധതി നടപ്പാക്കുന്നത്.

പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി പാടശേഖരത്തിലെ തോട് സംരക്ഷണം, നീർച്ചാലുകളുടെ സംരക്ഷണം, നീരൊഴുക്ക് സുഗമമാക്കൽ, കൃഷി പുഷ്ടിപ്പെടുത്തൽ, മണ്ണൊലിപ്പ് തടയൽ, മഴക്കുഴി നിർമ്മാണം  തുടങ്ങിയ കർമ്മപരിപാടികളാണ് നടപ്പാക്കുന്നത്. നടപടിക്രമങ്ങൾ പൂർത്തിയാക്കി എത്രയും വേഗം പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ ആരംഭിക്കുമെന്ന് പഞ്ചായത്തംഗം ജോർജ് ഇടപ്പരത്തി പറഞ്ഞു.

Ernakulam: Aiming at a revival in the agricultural sector, Blanthevar padasekaram of Mazhuvannoor panchayat is being prepared for cultivation again. The state government has sanctioned Rs 1.15 crore under the Neerthada development scheme to start cultivation in the padasekaram area spread over 150 acres of land.

Paddy was cultivated three times a year in the Blanthevar field located in wards 16 and 17 of the panchayat. But the field has been barren with undergrowth and grass for a long time. Due to water logging and inadequacy of infrastructure, the farmers here were facing a lot of difficulty in cultivating crops. Following this, the project is being implemented under the auspices of the Department of Agriculture.

As part of the project, programs such as protection of ditches, protection of watercourses, facilitation of water flow, fertilization of crops, prevention of soil erosion and construction of rainwater wells are being implemented as part of the project. Panchayat member George Idaparathy said that after completing the procedures, the work will be started as soon as possible.
