ജന്തു -ജന്യ രോഗങ്ങൾക്കെതിരെ ജാഗ്രത പാലിക്കണം: ജില്ലാ മെഡിക്കൽ ഓഫീസർ

വയനാട്: ജന്തു -ജന്യ രോഗങ്ങൾക്കെതിരെ പൊതുജനങ്ങൾ ജാഗ്രത പാലിക്കണമെന്ന് ജില്ലാ മെഡിക്കൽ ഓഫീസർ ഡോ. പി.ദിനീഷ് (ആരോഗ്യം) പറഞ്ഞു. മുൻ വർഷങ്ങളിൽ മെയ് മാസത്തിലാണ് നിപ രോഗബാധ സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചത്.  കോഴിക്കോട് ജില്ലയോട് അതിർത്തി പങ്കിടുന്ന ജില്ലയായതിനാൽ പൊതുജനങ്ങൾ തികഞ്ഞ ജാഗ്രത പുലർത്തണമെന്ന് അധികൃതർ അറിയിച്ചു.

ജന്തുക്കളിൽ നിന്ന് മനുഷ്യരിലേക്കും മനുഷ്യരിൽ നിന്ന് മനുഷ്യരിലേക്കും പകരുന്ന ജന്തു -ജന്യ രോഗ ലക്ഷണങ്ങളായ കടുത്ത പനി, തലവേദന, ചുമ, തൊണ്ടവേദന, ശ്വസിക്കാനും ഭക്ഷണമിറക്കാനുമുള്ള ബുദ്ധിമുട്ട്, ഛർദ്ദി, പേശി വേദന,കടുത്ത ബലഹീനത, മയക്കം, മാനസികാവസ്ഥയിലുണ്ടാകുന്ന മാറ്റങ്ങൾ, ആശയക്കുഴപ്പം,  അപസ്മാരം എന്നിവ ശ്രദ്ധയിൽപ്പെട്ടാൽ ഉടൻ ചികിത്സ തേടണം.

ആശുപത്രികളിൽ നിപ രോഗ ലക്ഷണങ്ങളുമായി എത്തുന്നവരെ വിദഗ്ധ പരിശോധനക്ക് വിധേയമാക്കണം. പന്നി, വവ്വാൽ  എന്നിങ്ങനെയുള്ള  ജന്തുക്കളുടെ ശരീര സ്രവങ്ങളുമായി നേരിട്ടോ മറ്റു തരത്തിലോ ഉള്ള സമ്പർക്കങ്ങൾ ഒഴിവാക്കുകയും മുൻകരുതലുകൾ എടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്യണം.

Wayanad: District Medical Officer Dr. P. Dinesh (Health) said. In previous years, Nipah infection was confirmed in the month of May. Officials informed that the public should be very careful as the district shares a border with Kozhikode district.

Animal-to-human and human-to-human transmission of animal-borne disease symptoms such as high fever, headache, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing and eating, vomiting, muscle pain, severe weakness, drowsiness, mood changes, confusion, and seizures should be treated immediately.

Those who arrive at hospitals with symptoms of Nipah disease should undergo expert examination. Avoid direct or other contact with bodily fluids of animals such as pigs and bats and take precautions.
