105 ജര്‍മ്മന്‍ കാളകള്‍ ചെന്നൈയില്‍ പറന്നിറങ്ങി

മികച്ച പ്രജനന ശേഷിയുള്ള 105 ജര്‍മ്മന്‍ കാളകളെ ഇന്ത്യയിലെത്തിച്ചിരിക്കയാണ് നാഷണല്‍ ഡയറി ഡവലപ്പ്‌മെന്റ് ബോര്‍ഡ്. ജര്‍മ്മനിയില്‍ നിന്നും ദോഹവഴിയാണ് കാളകള്‍ ചെന്നൈ വിമാനത്താവളത്തിലെത്തിയത്. 105 തടിപ്പെട്ടികളിലായാണ് കാളകളെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നത്. ഓരോ പെട്ടിയിലും 250-300 കിലോ തൂക്കം വരുന്ന കാളകളാണുള്ളത്. ആകെ 35 മെട്രിക്ടണ്‍ കാര്‍ഗോയാണ് വന്നത്. എല്ലാ വര്‍ഷവും ഇത്തരത്തില്‍ കാളകളെ കൊണ്ടുവരാറുണ്ടെന്ന് അധികൃതര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

കാളകള്‍ എത്തിയ ഉടന്‍ തന്നെ ക്ലിയറന്‍സുകള്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞ് പുറത്തിറക്കി നിയപരമായ ക്വാറന്റൈനിലാക്കി. പതിനാല് ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞ് ഇവയെ പലകേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോകും.German Holstein Black &White , German Holstein Red &White എന്നീ ഇനങ്ങളാണ് ലോകത്തിലെ മികച്ച ബ്രീഡുകള്‍. ഗുണമേന്മയിലും ഉത്പ്പാദനത്തിലും മുന്തി നില്‍ക്കുന്ന ഈ ഇനങ്ങളെ ലോകത്തിന്റെ നാനാ ഭാഗങ്ങളിലേക്കും കയറ്റുമതി ചെയ്യുന്നുണ്ട്.

105 German bulls flew down at Chennai for better breeding of cows

The National Dairy Development Board has imported 105 high quality German bulls to India. The bulls arrived at the Chennai airport via Doha from Germany. The bulls were brought in 105 wooden boxes. Each box contains 250-300 kg size bulls. A total of 35 metric tons of cargo arrived. Officials said the bulls are brought in every year for breeding purpose.

As soon as the bulls arrived they were released after clearances and put into legal quarantine. After fourteen days, they will be taken to various centers.German Holstein Black & White and German Holstein Red & White are the best breeds in the world. Exceeding in quality and production, these species are exported to various parts of the world.
