മാധ്യമപ്രവർത്തകർക്ക് പോസ്റ്റൽ വോട്ട് സൗകര്യം വിനിയോഗിക്കാം

തിരുവനന്തപുരം: ലോക്‌സഭാ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് ദിവസം ജോലിചെയ്യുന്ന പിആർഡി അക്രഡിറ്റേഷനുള്ള   മാധ്യമപ്രവർത്തകർക്ക് പോസ്റ്റൽ വോട്ട് മുഖാന്തരം വോട്ടവകാശം വിനിയോഗിക്കാൻ ആകുമെന്ന് മുഖ്യ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് ഓഫീസർ സഞ്ജയ് കൗൾ  അറിയിച്ചു. അവശ്യ സർവീസ് വിഭാഗത്തിൽപ്പെടുന്നവർ പോസ്റ്റൽ വോട്ട് ചെയ്യുന്ന രീതിയിൽ തന്നെയാണ് മാധ്യമപ്രവർത്തകർക്കും പോസ്റ്റൽ വോട്ട് ചെയ്യാനാവുക. ഇത് സംബന്ധിച്ച്  പിആർഡി ഡയറക്ടർക്ക് നിർദ്ദേശം നൽകിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.

പോലീസ്, ഫയർഫോഴ്‌സ്, ജയിൽ, എക്‌സൈസ്, മിൽമ, ഇലക്ട്രിസിറ്റി, വാട്ടർ അതോറിറ്റി, കെഎസ്ആർടിസി, ട്രഷറി, ഹെൽത്ത് സർവീസ്, വനംവകുപ്പ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ, ഓൾ ഇന്ത്യ റേഡിയോ, ദൂരദർശൻ തുടങ്ങിയ കേന്ദ്ര സർക്കാർ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾ, മാധ്യമപ്രവർത്തകർ, കൊച്ചി മെട്രോ റെയിൽ ലിമിറ്റഡ്  എന്നീ വിഭാഗങ്ങളെയാണ് സംസ്ഥാനത്ത്  അവശ്യ സർവീസായി ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുള്ളത്.

Chief Electoral Officer Sanjay Kaul informed that journalists with PRD accreditation working on Lok Sabha election day will be able to exercise their right to vote through postal vote. Journalists can also vote by postal vote in the same way as those belonging to the essential service category vote by postal vote. An instruction has been given to the PRD Director in this regard.

Central government institutions like Police, Fire Force, Jail, Excise, MILMA, Electricity, Water Authority, KSRTC, Treasury, Health Service, Forest Department, All India Radio, Doordarshan, Journalists and Kochi Metro Rail Limited have been included as essential services in the state.
