ദേശീയ ഊർജ്ജ കാര്യക്ഷമതാ പുരസ്‌കാരം 2023: കേരളത്തിന് വീണ്ടും പുരസ്‌കാരം

തിരുവനന്തപുരം: ദേശീയ ഊർജ്ജ കാര്യക്ഷമതാ പുരസ്‌കാരം 2023 ൽ ദേശീയ ഊർജ്ജ കാര്യക്ഷമതാ സൂചികയുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ കേരളത്തിന് പുരസ്‌കാരം ലഭിച്ചു. സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളുടെയും കേന്ദ്ര ഭരണ പ്രദേശങ്ങളുടെയും ഊർജ്ജ കാര്യക്ഷമത വിലയിരുത്തുന്ന ദേശീയ ഊർജ്ജ കാര്യക്ഷമതാ സൂചികയിൽ ഗ്രൂപ്പ് രണ്ട് വിഭാഗത്തിലാണ് കേരളം ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നത്. 77.5 പോയിന്റുമായി ഈ വിഭാഗത്തിൽ കേരളം രണ്ടാം സ്ഥാനം കരസ്ഥമാക്കി. 83.5 പോയിന്റുമായി ആന്ധ്രാ പ്രദേശ് ഗ്രൂപ്പിൽ ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനത്തെത്തി.

കാർഷികരംഗം, വൈദ്യുത വിതരണരംഗം, ഗതാഗതം, വ്യവസായികരംഗം, ഗാർഹികരംഗം എന്നീ മേഖലകളിലെ ഊർജ്ജ കാര്യക്ഷമത ഉറപ്പാക്കാനുള്ള പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ കണക്കിലെടുത്താണ് കേരളത്തിന് പുരസ്‌കാരം ലഭിച്ചത്.

ഡൽഹി വിഗ്യാൻ ഭവനിൽ നടന്ന അവാർഡ് ദാന ചടങ്ങിൽ ഇന്ത്യൻ രാഷ്ട്രപതി ദ്രൗപതി മുർമുവിൽ നിന്ന് എനർജി മാനേജ്‌മെന്റ് സെന്റർ ഡയറക്ടർ ഡോ. ആർ. ഹരികുമാർ ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങി.

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala has been awarded National Energy Efficiency Award 2023 on the basis of National Energy Efficiency Index. Kerala is included in Group Two of the National Energy Efficiency Index, which assesses the energy efficiency of states and Union Territories. Kerala secured the second position in this category with 77.5 points. Andhra Pradesh topped the group with 83.5 points.

Kerala received the award for its efforts to ensure energy efficiency in agriculture, electricity distribution, transport, industrial and household sectors.

Dr R Harikumar, Director, Energy Management Center, received the award from the President of India, Draupadi Murmu, at the Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi.
