ഓണത്തെ വരവേല്‍ക്കാന്‍ രണ്ടേക്കറില്‍ കൃഷിയുമായി പാണാവള്ളി തൊഴിലുറപ്പ് തൊഴിലാളികള്‍

ആലപ്പുഴ: വിഷരഹിതമായ പച്ചക്കറികളും നാടന്‍ പൂക്കളുമായി ഓണത്തെ വരവേല്‍ക്കാന്‍ ഒരുങ്ങി പാണാവള്ളി ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് പതിനാറാം വാര്‍ഡ്. കൃഷിയുടെ നടീല്‍ ഉദ്ഘാടനം പാണാവള്ളി ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് പ്രസിഡന്റ് ധന്യ സന്തോഷ് നിര്‍വഹിച്ചു.

വാര്‍ഡിലെ തൊഴിലുറപ്പ് തൊഴിലാളികളുടെ കാര്‍ത്തിക കൃഷിക്കൂട്ടം എന്ന ഗ്രൂപ്പാണ് ഓണക്കാല കൃഷിക്ക് തുടക്കം കുറിച്ചത്. 26 പേരാണ് ഇതിലുള്ളത്. രണ്ട് ഏക്കറോളം സ്ഥലം വെട്ടിത്തളിച്ചെടുത്തതിനു ശേഷമാണ് കൃഷി ആരംഭിച്ചത്. പാവല്‍, പീച്ചില്‍, പടവലം, ചേന, വെണ്ട, വഴുതന, മഞ്ഞള്‍, മുളക്, മത്തന്‍, പയര്‍, കപ്പ, ചീര തുടങ്ങിയ പച്ചക്കറികളും ജമന്തി, വാടാമുല്ല എന്നിവയുമാണ് പ്രധാനമായും കൃഷി ചെയ്യുന്നത്.

പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ കാര്‍ഷിക വിജ്ഞാന വ്യാപന കേന്ദ്രമായ മരതകത്തില്‍ നിന്നാണ് കൃഷിക്ക് ആവശ്യമായ വിത്തുകള്‍ വാങ്ങിയത്. പയര്‍, പീച്ചില്‍ വിത്തുകള്‍ കൃഷിഭവനില്‍ നിന്നും സൗജന്യമായി നല്‍കി. വളപ്രയോഗം, പരിപാലനം തുടങ്ങിയവയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള നിര്‍ദ്ദേശങ്ങള്‍ കൃഷി വകുപ്പ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ നല്‍കിയിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നും സ്ഥലം ലഭ്യമാകുന്ന മുറയ്ക്ക് കൃഷി കൂടുതല്‍ വിപുലമാക്കുമെന്നും തൊഴിലുറപ്പ് തൊഴിലാളികള്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

Alappuzha: Panavalli gram panchayat sixteenth ward is ready to welcome Onam with non-toxic vegetables and native flowers. Panavalli Gram Panchayat President Dhanya Santhosh inaugurated the plantation.

A group of indentured labourers in the ward called Karthika Krishi Kootam started the Onam farming. There are 26 people in it. The cultivation started after clearing about two acres of land. Vegetables like pavel, peach, padavalam, yam, venda, brinjal, turmeric, chilli, melon, lentil, kappa, spinach and marigold and vatamulla are mainly cultivated.

The seeds required for cultivation were purchased from Marathak, an agricultural knowledge dissemination center in the panchayat. Pea and peach seeds were provided free from Krishi Bhavan. The indentured laborers said that the agriculture department officials have given instructions about fertilizer application and maintenance etc.
