കാറ്റിനും ഇടിമിന്നലിനും സാധ്യത

ഏപ്രിൽ 24 വരെ കേരളത്തിൽ ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ട ഇടങ്ങളിൽ 30-40 വേഗതയിൽ വരെ വിളിച്ചേക്കാവുന്ന കാറ്റിനും ഇടിമിന്നലോടുകൂടിയ മഴയ്ക്ക് സാധ്യതയുണ്ടെന്ന് കേന്ദ്ര കാലാവസ്ഥാ വകുപ്പ് അറിയിച്ചു. ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് 2 മണി മുതൽ രാത്രി 10 മണി വരെയുള്ള സമയത്ത് ഇടിമിന്നൽ ഉള്ള സാധ്യത കൂടുതലാണ്. ഇടിമിന്നലിന്റെ ആദ്യ ലക്ഷണം കണ്ടുകഴിഞ്ഞാൽ ഉടനെതന്നെ സുരക്ഷിതമായ കെട്ടിടത്തിനുള്ളിലേക്ക് മാറുക.

The Central Meteorological Department has forecast isolated winds of 30-40 kph and thundershowers in Kerala till April 24. Thunderstorms are more likely to occur between 2pm and 10pm. Move to a safe building as soon as you see the first sign of lightning. Staying in the open will increase the likelihood of lightning strikes. Close windows and doors. Try not to touch the floor or wall as much as possible. Avoid using the telephone during thunderstorms as much as possible.

തുറസ്സായ സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ തുടരുന്നത് ഇടിമിന്നൽ ഏൽക്കാനുള്ള സാധ്യത വർധിപ്പിക്കും. ജനലും വാതിലും അടച്ചിടുക. പരമാവധി തറയിലോ ഭിത്തിയിലോ സ്പർശിക്കാതിരിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുക. ഇടിമിന്നൽ ഉള്ള സമയത്ത് ടെലിഫോൺ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത് പരമാവധി ഒഴിവാക്കുക.
