കേരളത്തിൽ അതിശക്തമായ മഴയ്ക്ക് സാധ്യത

തെക്കുകിഴക്കൻ അറബിക്കടലിൽ രൂപം കൊള്ളുന്ന ന്യൂനമർദ്ദം കേരളത്തിൽ അതിശക്തമായ മഴ നൽകുമെന്ന് കേന്ദ്ര കാലാവസ്ഥാ വകുപ്പ് മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നൽകി. നാളെ തിരുവനന്തപുരം, കൊല്ലം, കോട്ടയം എറണാകുളം, ഇടുക്കി തുടങ്ങിയ ജില്ലകളിൽ കാലാവസ്ഥ വകുപ്പ് മഞ്ഞ അലർട്ട് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു.

മെയ് 16 ഓടുകൂടി സിസ്റ്റം ചുഴലികാറ്റിൻറെ വേഗത സ്വീകരിക്കുമെന്നാണ് കരുതുന്നത്. ഇപ്പോഴും കാറ്റിൻറെ സഞ്ചാര ദിശയിൽ വ്യക്തത കൈവന്നിട്ടില്ല. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ തീരങ്ങളിലേക്ക് സിസ്റ്റം നീങ്ങുമെന്നാണ് ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ കണക്കുകൂട്ടൽ.

എന്നാൽ കേരള തീരത്തും ജാഗ്രതാ നിർദ്ദേശങ്ങൾ പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. കേരള തീരങ്ങളിൽ 40 മുതൽ 60 കിലോമീറ്റർ വരെ പെട്ടെന്ന് വീശിയടിച്ചേക്കാവുന്ന കാറ്റിന് സാധ്യതയുണ്ടെന്ന് കാലാവസ്ഥാ വകുപ്പ് അറിയിച്ചു. മത്സ്യത്തൊഴിലാളികൾ ജാഗ്രതാ നിർദ്ദേശങ്ങൾ പാലിക്കേണ്ടതാണ്. കടലിൽ പോയവർ പതിനാലാം തീയതിക്ക് മുൻപ് തിരിച്ചെത്തണമെന്ന് അധികൃതർ അറിയിച്ചു.
