കേരള തീരത്ത് ഇന്ന് ഉയര്‍ന്ന തിരമാലയ്ക്ക് സാധ്യത

കേരള തീരത്ത് ഇന്ന് (ഏപ്രില്‍ 21) രാത്രി 11.30 വരെ 0.5 മുതല്‍ 1.0 മീറ്റര്‍ വരെ ഉയര്‍ന്ന തിരമാലയ്ക്കും കടലാക്രമണത്തിനും സാധ്യതയുണ്ടെന്നും ആയതിന്റെ വേഗത സെക്കന്റില്‍ 5 - 25 സെന്റിമീറ്റര്‍ വരെ മാറിവരുവാന്‍ സാധ്യതയുണ്ടെന്നും ദേശീയ സമുദ്രസ്ഥിതിപഠന ഗവേഷണ കേന്ദ്രം. 

ഈ സാഹചര്യത്തില്‍ മത്സ്യത്തൊഴിലാളികള്‍ക്കും തീരദേശവാസികള്‍ക്കും സംസ്ഥാന ദുരന്തനിവാരണ അതോറിറ്റി ജാഗ്രതാ നിര്‍ദേശം നല്‍കി. മത്സ്യബന്ധന യാനങ്ങളുടെയും ഉപകരണങ്ങളുടെയും സുരക്ഷ ഉറപ്പാക്കണമെന്നും ബീച്ചിലേയ്ക്കുള്ള യാത്രകളും കടലില്‍ ഇറങ്ങിയുള്ള വിനോദങ്ങളും പൂര്‍ണമായും ഒഴിവാക്കണമെന്നും മുന്നറിയിപ്പുണ്ട്. കേരള - കര്‍ണാടക - ലക്ഷദ്വീപ് തീരങ്ങളില്‍ മത്സ്യബന്ധനത്തിന് തടസമില്ലെന്നും കേന്ദ്ര കാലാവസ്ഥ വകുപ്പ് അറിയിച്ചു.

The National Oceanographic Research Center has said that there is a possibility of 0.5 to 1.0 meter high waves and storm surge along the Kerala coast today (April 21) till 11.30 pm with a speed of 5 to 25 cm per second.

In this situation, the State Disaster Management Authority has issued a warning to fishermen and coastal residents. There is a warning to ensure the safety of fishing vessels and equipment and avoid trips to the beach and recreation at sea. The Central Meteorological Department has also informed that there is no disruption to fishing in the Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts.
