കനത്ത മഴയ്ക്കു സാധ്യത; നാലു ജില്ലകളിൽ ഇന്ന് (30 ഏപ്രിൽ) ഓറഞ്ച് അലർട്ട്

ശക്തമായ മഴയ്ക്കുള്ള സാധ്യത മുൻനിർത്തി കേന്ദ്ര കാലാവസ്ഥാ വകുപ്പ് ഇന്ന് (30 ഏപ്രിൽ) നാലു ജില്ലകളിൽ ഓറഞ്ച് അലർട്ട് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. പത്തനംതിട്ട, എറണാകുളം, ഇടുക്കി, തൃശൂർ ജില്ലകളിലാണ് ഓറഞ്ച് അലർട്ട്. തിരുവനന്തപുരം, കൊല്ലം, ആലപ്പുഴ, കോട്ടയം, കോഴിക്കോട്, വയനാട് ജില്ലകളിൽ നാളെ യെല്ലോ അലർട്ടും പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ടയിടങ്ങളിൽ അതിശക്തമായ മഴ സാധ്യതയാണ് ഓറഞ്ച് അലർട്ട് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച ജില്ലകളിൽ പ്രവചിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. 24 മണിക്കൂറിൽ 115.6 മില്ലി മീറ്റർ മുതൽ 204.4 മില്ലി മീറ്റർ വരെ മഴ ലഭിക്കുമെന്നാണ് അതിശക്തമായ മഴ എന്നത് കൊണ്ട് അർത്ഥമാക്കുന്നത്.  24 മണിക്കൂറിൽ 64.5 മില്ലിമീറ്ററിൽ മുതൽ 115.5 മില്ലിമീറ്റർ വരെ മഴ ലഭിക്കാനുള്ള സാധ്യത മുൻനിർത്തിയാണ് ആറു ജില്ലകളിൽ യെല്ലോ അലർട്ട് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്.

മേയ് ഒന്നിന് പത്തനംതിട്ട, ആലപ്പുഴ, എറണാകുളം, ഇടുക്കി, തൃശൂർ ജില്ലകളിലും രണ്ടിനും മൂന്നിനും പത്തനംതിട്ട, എറണാകുളം, ഇടുക്കി, തൃശൂർ ജില്ലകളിലും യെല്ലോ അലർട്ട് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

The Central Meteorological Department has announced an orange alert in four districts tomorrow (April 30) in anticipation of heavy rains. Orange alert in Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Idukki and Thrissur districts. Yellow alert has also been announced in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts tomorrow.

Isolated heavy rains are predicted in the districts where orange alert has been declared. Heavy rainfall means 115.6 mm to 204.4 mm of rain in 24 hours. A yellow alert has been issued in six districts in view of the possibility of rainfall ranging from 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm in 24 hours.

Yellow alert has been declared in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Idukki and Thrissur districts on May 1 and Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Idukki and Thrissur districts on May 2 and 3.
