കേരള തീരത്ത് ഉയര്‍ന്ന തിരമാലയ്ക്ക് സാധ്യത

കേരള തീരത്ത് ഇന്ന് (മാര്‍ച്ച് 09 ) രാത്രി 11.30 വരെ 0.5 മുതല്‍ 1.5 മീറ്റര്‍ വരെ ഉയര്‍ന്ന തിരമാലയ്ക്കും കടലാക്രമണത്തിനും സാധ്യതയുള്ളതായി ദേശീയ സമുദ്രസ്ഥിതിപഠന ഗവേഷണ കേന്ദ്രം അറിയിച്ചു. ഈ സാഹചര്യത്തില്‍ മത്സ്യത്തൊഴിലാളികളും തീരദേശവാസികളും ജാഗ്രത പാലിക്കണമെന്ന് സംസ്ഥാനദുരന്തനിവാരണ അതോറിറ്റി മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്‍കി.

മത്സ്യബന്ധന യാനങ്ങളുടെയും ഉപകരണങ്ങളുടെയും സുരക്ഷ ഉറപ്പാക്കണമെന്നും ബീച്ചിലേയ്ക്കുള്ള യാത്രകളും കടലില്‍ ഇറങ്ങിയുള്ള വിനോദങ്ങളും പൂര്‍ണമായും ഒഴിവാക്കണമെന്നും നിര്‍ദേശമുണ്ട്. അതേസമയം കേരള - കര്‍ണാടക - ലക്ഷദ്വീപ് തീരങ്ങളില്‍ മത്സ്യബന്ധനത്തിന് തടസമില്ലെന്നും കേന്ദ്ര കാലാവസ്ഥ വകുപ്പ് അറിയിച്ചു.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Research Center has informed that there is a possibility of 0.5 to 1.5 meter high waves and storm surge on the Kerala coast today (March 09) till 11.30 pm. In this situation, the State Disaster Management Authority has warned fishermen and coastal residents to be cautious.

It has been suggested to ensure the safety of fishing vessels and equipment and to avoid trips to the beach and recreation at sea. At the same time, the Central Meteorological Department has informed that there is no disruption to fishing in the Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts.
