കേരള തീരത്ത് ഉയർന്ന തിരമാലയ്ക്ക് സാധ്യത

കേരള തീരത്ത് ഇന്ന് (മാർച്ച് 14) രാവിലെ 8.30 മുതൽ വ്യാഴാഴ്ച (മാർച്ച് 16) രാത്രി 8.30 വരെ 1.0 മീറ്റർ മുതൽ 1.9 മീറ്റർ വരെ ഉയർന്ന തിരമാലയ്ക്കും കടലാക്രമണത്തിനും സാധ്യതയുള്ളതായി ദേശീയ സമുദ്രസ്ഥിതിപഠന ഗവേഷണ കേന്ദ്രം. ​

ഈ സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ മത്സ്യത്തൊഴിലാളികൾക്കും തീരദേശവാസികൾക്കും സംസ്ഥാന ദുരന്തനിവാരണ അതോറിറ്റി ജാഗ്രതാ നിർദേശം നൽകി. മത്സ്യബന്ധനയാനങ്ങളുടെയും ഉപകരണങ്ങളുടെയും സുരക്ഷ ഉറപ്പാക്കണമെന്നും ബീച്ചിലേയ്ക്കുള്ള യാത്രകളും കടലിൽ ഇറങ്ങിയുള്ള വിനോദങ്ങളും പൂർണമായും ഒഴിവാക്കണമെന്നും മുന്നറിയിപ്പുണ്ട്.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Research Center has warned that a high wave of 1.0m to 1.9m is likely to occur along the Kerala coast from 8.30 am today (March 14) to 8.30 pm on Thursday (March 16).​
