അഞ്ചടി മുരിങ്ങക്കയുമായി ചക്രപാണിയുടെ മുരിങ്ങത്തോട്ടം

കിലോയ്ക്ക് 35-40 രൂപ.കായ്കള്‍ ഡിന്‍ഡിഗല്‍,ഒഡ്ഡന്‍ഛാത്രം,മധുര എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലെ ചന്തകളിലാണ് വില്‍ക്കുന്നത്. കിലോയ്ക്ക് 35 - 40 രൂപ ലഭിക്കുന്നതിനാല്‍ കൃഷി ലാഭകരമാണ് എന്ന് ചക്രപാണി പറഞ്ഞു. പോളി ഗ്രീന്‍ ഹൗസ്, തുള്ളിനന എന്നിവ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് തക്കാളിയും സവാളയും കൃഷി ചെയ്ത് വിജയിച്ചതിന് പുരസ്‌ക്കാരങ്ങള്‍ നേടിയിട്ടുളള ആളാണ് ചക്രപാണി.

മുരിങ്ങയുടെ ജന്മദേശം തിരുനെല്‍വേലി,കന്യാകുമാരി പ്രദേശമാണ് എന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ഈ പ്രദേശത്തെ മുരിങ്ങക്കായ, ഇല എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് മറ്റിടങ്ങളില്‍ പിടിക്കുന്ന മുരിങ്ങക്കയേക്കാള്‍ സ്വാദ് കൂടുതലാണ്. It is believed that Moringa is the native of Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari. The drum sticks and leaves of this region are more tastier than those found elsewhere. Scientifically known as Moringa oleifera, it is also known as Ben oil tree and Horse radish tree.
