കാപ്പി സംഭരണം: പഞ്ചായത്ത് കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള സംഭരണത്തിനു തുടക്കമായി

കാര്‍ഷിക വികസന കര്‍ഷക ക്ഷേമ വകുപ്പ് വയനാട് പാക്കേജില്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടുത്തി നടപ്പിലാക്കുന്ന കാപ്പി സംഭരണ പദ്ധതിയില്‍ വിവിധ പഞ്ചായത്ത്/ മുനിസിപ്പാലിറ്റിതല കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള സംഭരണത്തിനു തുടക്കമായി.

ജില്ലയിലെ മൂന്നു സംഭരണ ഏജന്‍സികള്‍ വഴി നടത്തുന്ന സംഭരണ പ്രക്രിയയിലൂടെ തിങ്കളാഴ്ച്ച 130 ചെറുകിട നാമമാത്ര കര്‍ഷകരില്‍ നിന്നും 33 ടണ്‍ കാപ്പി സംഭരിച്ചു. മുട്ടില്‍ പഞ്ചായത്ത് പരിധിയില്‍ നിന്നും ബ്രഹ്മഗിരി ഡവലപ്‌മെന്റ്  സൊസൈറ്റി മുഖേന 20 ടണ്‍, പൂതാടി പഞ്ചായത്ത് പരിധിയില്‍ വാസുകി ഫാര്‍മേഴ്‌സ് സൊസൈറ്റി മുഖേന 9 ടണ്‍, തവിഞ്ഞാല്‍ പഞ്ചായത്ത് പരിധിയില്‍ വയനാട് സോഷ്യല്‍ സര്‍വ്വീസ് സൊസൈറ്റി മുഖേന 4 ടണ്‍ എന്നീ അളവിലാണ് കാപ്പി സംഭരിച്ചത്.

സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് ഇത്തരത്തില്‍ ആദ്യമായി നടപ്പിലാക്കുന്ന കാപ്പി വിപണന പദ്ധതിയിലൂടെ കിലോയ്ക്ക് വിപണി വിലയേക്കാള്‍ 10 രൂപ അധികം നല്‍കിയാണ് കര്‍ഷകരില്‍ നിന്നും നിശ്ചിത ഗുണനിലവാരമുള്ള ഉണ്ടകാപ്പി സംഭരിക്കുന്നത്. ജനവരി 31 വരെ കൃഷിഭവനുകളിലൂടെ അപേക്ഷ ക്ഷണിച്ചാണ് ഗുണഭോക്താക്കളെ അതതു സ്ഥലത്തെ കാര്‍ഷിക വികസന സമിതികള്‍ കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടുള്ളത്.

ജില്ലയില്‍ ഏകദേശം 1550 കര്‍ഷകര്‍ക്ക്  പദ്ധതിയുടെ പ്രയോജനം ലഭിക്കും. പഞ്ചായത്ത്തലത്തില്‍ നിശ്ചയിക്കുന്ന ഒന്നോ രണ്ടോ സംഭരണ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നാണ് നിശ്ചിത ദിവസങ്ങളില്‍ കാപ്പി  സംഭരിക്കുന്നത്. പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഔദ്യോഗിക ഉദ്ഘാടനം കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം സുല്‍ത്താന്‍ ബത്തേരി കാര്‍ഷിക മൊത്ത വ്യാപാര വിപണിയില്‍ റവന്യുമന്ത്രി നിര്‍വ്വഹിച്ചിരുന്നു.

Procurement from various Panchayat / Municipality level centers has been initiated under the Coffee Procurement Scheme implemented by the Department of Agricultural Development and Agrarian Welfare as part of the Wayanad Package.

The procurement process through three procurement agencies in the district on Monday procured 33 tonnes of coffee from 130 small and nominal farmers. 20 tonnes of coffee were procured from Muttil panchayat through Brahmagiri Development Society, 9 tonnes from Poothadi panchayat through Vasuki Farmers Society and 4 tonnes from Thavinjal panchayat through Wayanad Social Service Society.

This is the first such coffee marketing scheme in the state to procure fixed quality coffee from farmers at Rs. 10 per kg above the market price.  Beneficiaries have been identified by the local Agricultural Development Committees by inviting applications through Krishi Bhavans till January 31.

About 1550 farmers in the district will benefit from the scheme. Coffee is procured on fixed days from one or two storage centers designated at the panchayat level. The project was officially inaugurated by the Minister of Revenue at the Sultan Bathery Agricultural Wholesale Market yesterday.
