തേന്‍ വിളവെടുപ്പുത്സവവും തേനീച്ച നഴ്സറിയുടെ ഉദ്ഘാടനവും

ചക്കിട്ടപാറ ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തില്‍ തേന്‍ വിളവെടുപ്പുത്സവവും തേനീച്ച നഴ്സറിയുടെ ഉദ്ഘാടനവും നടന്നു. എം.എല്‍.എ ടി.പി രാമകൃഷ്ണന്‍ തേന്‍ വിളവെടുപ്പിന്റെയും ജില്ലാ പഞ്ചായത്ത് പ്രസിഡന്റ് ഷീജാ ശശി തേനീച്ച നഴ്സറിയുടെയും ഉദ്ഘാടനം നിര്‍വഹിച്ചു. തേന്‍ വിപണന കേന്ദ്രത്തിന്റെ ഉദ്ഘാടനവും ആദ്യവില്‍പ്പനയും പേരാമ്പ്ര ബ്ലോക്ക് പഞ്ചായത്ത് പ്രസിഡന്റ് എന്‍.പി ബാബു നിര്‍വ്വഹിച്ചു. കായക്കൊടി പഞ്ചായത്ത് പ്രസിഡന്റ് ഒ.പി ഷിജില്‍ ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങി.

റബര്‍ കര്‍ഷകര്‍ക്ക് തുണയാകുന്ന തേനീച്ച വളര്‍ത്തല്‍

കര്‍ഷകര്‍ക്ക് സ്ഥിരവരുമാനം ഉറപ്പാക്കുക എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെ ചക്കിട്ടപാറ പഞ്ചായത്തും സെന്റ് തോമസ് അസോസിയേഷന്‍ ഫോര്‍ റൂറല്‍ സര്‍വീസും ചേര്‍ന്ന് 300 കര്‍ഷകര്‍ക്ക് ഡിസംബറില്‍ തേനീച്ച കൃഷിയില്‍ പരിശീലനം നല്‍കിയിരുന്നു. ഇതിന്റെ തേന്‍ വിളവെടുപ്പാണ് നടന്നത്. ആയിരം കര്‍ഷകര്‍ക്ക് പരിശീലനം നല്‍കി അവരെ സംരംഭകരാക്കി മാറ്റാനാണ് പഞ്ചായത്ത് ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നത്. 700 പേരാണ് ഇനി പരിശീലനം നല്‍കാനുള്ളത്. നബാര്‍ഡിന്റെ ധനസഹായത്തോടെയാണ് പദ്ധതി നടപ്പിലാക്കുന്നത്. ഹോര്‍ട്ടി കോര്‍പ്പിന്റെ സഹായത്തോടെ കര്‍ഷകര്‍ക്ക് സബ്‌സിഡി നിരക്കില്‍ തേനീച്ചപ്പെട്ടിയും ആവശ്യമായ സാധന സാമഗ്രികളും നല്‍കി. ചക്കിട്ടപാറ പഞ്ചായത്ത് പ്രസിഡന്റ് കെ.സുനില്‍ ചടങ്ങില്‍ അധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ചു.

Honey harvesting festival and inauguration of bee nursery was held at Chakkitapara Grama Panchayat. MLA TP Ramakrishnan inaugurated the honey harvest and District Panchayat President Shija Sasi inaugurated the bee nursery. Perambra Block Panchayat President NP Babu inaugurated the first sale of the honey. Kayakodi Panchayat President OP Shijil took over.

In December, Chakkitapara Panchayat and the St. Thomas Association for Rural Services trained 300 farmers in beekeeping with the aim of ensuring a steady income for farmers. Its honey was harvested. The panchayat aims to train 1,000 farmers and turn them into entrepreneurs. About 700 people are yet to be trained. The project is being implemented with the financial assistance of NABARD. With the help of Horti Corp, farmers were provided with beehives and essential items at subsidized rates. Chakkitapara Panchayat President K Sunil presided over the function.
