തീരദേശ ജൈവവൈവിദ്ധ്യവും നാട്ടറിവുകളും: ഗവേഷണ പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ഫെബ്രുവരി 12ന്

ആലപ്പുഴ: കേരള സര്വ്വകലാശാലയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തില് ജില്ലയിലെ 'തീരദേശ ജൈവ വൈവിധ്യവും മീന് പിടുത്തക്കാരുടെ നാട്ടറിവുകളും: ഒരു പൗരശാസ്ത്ര സമീപനം' എന്ന ഗവേഷണ പദ്ധതി നടപ്പിലാക്കുന്നു. ഗവേഷണ പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഉദ്ഘാടനം കളര്കോട് കേരള യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി സ്റ്റഡി ആന്ഡ് റിസര്ച്ച് സെന്ററില് വച്ച് ഫെബ്രുവരി 12ന് വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച്ച രാവിലെ 10.30 ന് പൊതുമരാമത്ത്, രജിസ്ട്രേഷന് വകുപ്പ് മന്ത്രി ജി. സുധാകരന് നിര്വഹിക്കും.

മത്സ്യത്തൊഴിലാളികളെയും പൗരശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞരെയും ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ജില്ലയിലെ തീര, സമുദ്ര ജൈവവൈവിധ്യം രേഖപ്പെടുത്തുക, ജില്ലയിലെ തീരജൈവവൈവിധ്യം, മത്സ്യബന്ധനരീതികള്, ചാകര എന്നിവയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട പാരമ്പര്യ അറിവുകള് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തുക, ജില്ലയുടെ തീര, സമുദ്ര ജൈവവൈവിധ്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് സമഗ്രമായ ഒരു പുസ്തകവും വീഡിയോ ഡോക്യുമെന്ററിയും പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിക്കുക എന്നീ ഉദ്ദേശ്യലക്ഷ്യങ്ങളോടെയാണ് പ്രോജക്റ്റ് നടപ്പിലാക്കപ്പെടുന്നത്. 

Alappuzha: The University of Kerala is implementing a research project in the district titled 'Coastal Biodiversity and Folklore of Fishermen: A Civic Approach'. The research project will be inaugurated at the Kerala University Study and Research Center, Kolkata on Friday, February 12 at 10.30 am by the Minister of Public Works and Registration, G.S. Sudhakaran will perform. The objectives are to document the coastal and marine biodiversity of the district with the help of fishermen and civic scientists, to document the traditional knowledge related to the coastal biodiversity of the district, fisheries practices and chakara, and to publish a comprehensive book and video documentary on the coastal and marine biodiversity of the district. This is the first comprehensive research project in Kerala that uses the services of civil scientists and fishermen to document marine biodiversity. Kerala University Syndicate Member Adv. K.H.
