വെട്ടുകിളിക്കെതിരെ ജയ്സാല്‍മീറില്‍ ഹെലികോപ്റ്റര്‍ വഴി കീടനാശിനി പ്രയോഗം തുടങ്ങി

വെട്ടുക്കിളി നിയന്ത്രണ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിൽ രാസകീടനാശിനി സ്പ്രേയിംഗിന് തുടക്കമായി.  ബെൽ ഹെലികോപ്റ്റർ ഉപയോഗിച്ച്  രാജസ്ഥാനിലെ ജയ്സാൽമീർ ജില്ലയിലെ 65 ആർ‌ഡി ബന്ദ പ്രദേശത്ത് ആദ്യ പ്രയോഗം നടന്നു.2020 ഏപ്രിൽ 11 മുതൽ രാജസ്ഥാൻ, മധ്യപ്രദേശ്, പഞ്ചാബ്, ഗുജറാത്ത്, ഉത്തർപ്രദേശ്, മഹാരാഷ്ട്ര, ഛത്തീസ്ഡ്, ഹരിയാന, ബീഹാർ എന്നീ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിൽ രണ്ടര ലക്ഷം ഹെക്ടർ പ്രദേശത്ത് വെട്ടുക്കിളി നിയന്ത്രണ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ നടന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞു.

2020 ജൂലൈ 3 മുതൽ 4 വരെയുള്ള രാത്രിയിൽ 6 ജില്ലകളിലെ 25 സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ നിയന്ത്രണ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ നടത്തി. രാജസ്ഥാനിലെ ജയ്സാൽമീർ, ബാർമർ, ബിക്കാനീർ, ജോധ്പൂർ, നാഗൌർ,ദൌസ,ഭരത്പൂര്‍, ഉത്തർപ്രദേശിലെ ഝാന്‍സി , മഹോബ  എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലും പ്രതിരോധപ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ നടക്കുകയാണ്.

പിങ്കും മഞ്ഞയും സജീവം

ഗുജറാത്ത്, ഉത്തർപ്രദേശ്, മധ്യപ്രദേശ്, മഹാരാഷ്ട്ര, ഛത്തീസ്ഗഡ്, ബീഹാർ, ഹരിയാന എന്നീ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിൽ കാര്യമായ വിളനാശം റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല. എന്നിരുന്നാലും, രാജസ്ഥാനിലെ ചില ജില്ലകളിൽ ചില ചെറിയ വിളനാശങ്ങൾ റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. വളര്‍ച്ച എത്തിയിട്ടില്ലാത്ത  പിങ്ക് വെട്ടുക്കിളികളും മുതിർന്ന മഞ്ഞ വെട്ടുക്കിളികളും വളരെ സജീവമായ പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലാണ് മരുന്നുതളി നടത്തുന്നത്.

ഇന്ത്യ ഡ്രോണ്‍ പ്രയോഗിക്കുന്ന ആദ്യ രാജ്യം

രാജസ്ഥാൻ, ഗുജറാത്ത്, മധ്യപ്രദേശ്, ഉത്തർപ്രദേശ് എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ സ്പ്രേ വാഹനങ്ങളുള്ള 60 കൺട്രോൾ ടീമുകളെ വിന്യസിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് . 200 ലധികം കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാർ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ വെട്ടുക്കിളി നിയന്ത്രണ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിൽ ഏർപ്പെടുന്നു. 12 ഡ്രോണുകളുള്ള 5 കമ്പനികളെ രാജസ്ഥാനിലെ ബാർമർ, ജയ്സാൽമർ, ബിക്കാനീർ, നാഗൌർ, ഫലോഡി എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ വിന്യസിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഉയരമുള്ള മരങ്ങളിലും ഒളിയിടങ്ങളിലുമുള്ള വെട്ടുക്കിളികളെയും നശിപ്പിക്കാന്‍ ഡ്രോണ്‍ ഉപയോഗിച്ചുള്ള കീടനാശിനികൾ തളിയിലൂടെ സാധിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. വെട്ടുക്കിളി നിയന്ത്രണത്തിനായി ഡ്രോൺ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ആദ്യത്തെ രാജ്യമാണ് ഇന്ത്യ.

രാത്രികാലങ്ങളിലും ഡ്രോണ്‍ സജീവം

വിവിധ നിബന്ധനകൾക്കും വ്യവസ്ഥകൾക്കും വിധേയമായി വെട്ടുക്കിളി വിരുദ്ധ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾക്കായി വിദൂരമായി പൈലറ്റുചെയ്‌ത എയർ ക്രാഫ്റ്റ് സംവിധാനം ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നതിന് 2020 മെയ് 21 ന് MoCA സർക്കാർ സ്ഥാപനത്തിന് സോപാധിക ഇളവ് നൽകി. 2020 ജൂൺ 27 ന് MoCA നിബന്ധനകളിലും വ്യവസ്ഥകളിലും കൂടുതൽ ഇളവുകള്‍ വന്നതോടെ  എഞ്ചിൻ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന 50 കിലോ തൂക്കമുള്ള ഡ്രോൺ  ഉപയോഗിക്കാനും രാത്രി സമയങ്ങളിൽ ഡ്രോൺ ഉപയോഗിക്കാനും  അനുമതി  ലഭിച്ചു

ജൂലൈ പകുതിയോടെ ആക്രമണം വര്‍ദ്ധിക്കും

03.07.2020 ലെ ഫുഡ് ആൻഡ് അഗ്രികൾച്ചർ ഓർഗനൈസേഷന്റെ വെട്ടുക്കിളി സ്റ്റാറ്റസ് അപ്‌ഡേറ്റ് അനുസരിച്ച്, മഴക്കാലത്തിന് മുമ്പ് ഇന്തോ-പാക് അതിർത്തിയിലേക്ക് കുടിയേറിയ സ്പ്രിംഗ്-ബ്രെഡ് കൂട്ടങ്ങൾ മണ്‍സൂണ്‍ കാത്ത് നില്‍ക്കയാണെന്നും  ചിലത്  ഇന്ത്യയുടെ വടക്കൻ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലേക്ക്  ചേക്കേറുകയും  ഏതാനും ഗ്രൂപ്പുകൾ നേപ്പാളിലെത്തിയെന്നും റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടു ചെയ്യുന്നു.  ഇറാൻ, പാകിസ്ഥാൻ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് ഇനിയും എത്തുന്ന മറ്റ് കൂട്ടങ്ങളിൽ ചേരുന്നതിനായി വരും ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ മൺസൂൺ ആരംഭിക്കുന്നതോടെ ഈ കൂട്ടങ്ങൾ രാജസ്ഥാനിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങുമെന്നാണ് പ്രവചനം. ജൂലൈ പകുതിയോടെ ആഫ്രിക്കയില്‍  നിന്നുള്ള കൂട്ടങ്ങളും  ഇവയ്ക്കൊപ്പം ചേരുമെന്നു പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. ഇന്തോ-പാക് അതിർത്തിയിൽ നേരത്തെയുള്ള പ്രജനനം നടന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്, അവിടെ ജൂലൈയിൽ ഗണ്യമായ വിരിയിക്കലും ബാൻഡ് രൂപീകരണവും നടക്കും, ഇത് ഓഗസ്റ്റ് പകുതിയോടെ ആദ്യ തലമുറയിലെ വേനൽക്കാല കൂട്ടങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാകാൻ കാരണമാകും

തെക്ക്-പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ ഏഷ്യൻ രാജ്യങ്ങളുടെ (അഫ്ഗാനിസ്ഥാൻ, ഇന്ത്യ, ഇറാൻ, പാകിസ്ഥാൻ) മരുഭൂമി വെട്ടുക്കിളിയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പ്രതിവാര വെർച്വൽ മീറ്റിംഗ് FAO സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. തെക്കുപടിഞ്ഞാറൻ ഏഷ്യൻ രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ സാങ്കേതിക ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരുടെ 15 വെർച്വൽ മീറ്റിംഗുകൾ ഇതുവരെ നടന്നു. ഏതായാലും വളരെ കരുതലോടെയാണ് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ഓരോ നീക്കവും നടത്തുന്നത്.

Starting from 11th April, 2020 till 3rd  July, 2020, control operations have been done in 1,35,207 hectares area in States of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana by Locust Circle Offices (LCOs). Till 3rd July, 2020, control operations have also been done in 1,13,215.5 hectares area in States of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra,  Chhatisgarh, Haryana and Bihar by State Governments.

In the intervening night of 3rd  - 4th  July, 2020, control operations were carried out at 25 places in 6 districts viz. Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Nagaur, and Dausa of Rajasthan State and 2 places in Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh by LCOs. Besides this, State Agriculture Departments  also carried out control operations at 4 places in Jhansi and Mahoba districts of Uttar Pradesh and at 2 places in Bharatpur distrcit of Rajasthan, in the intervening night of 3rd - 4th  July, 2020 against small groups and scattered population of locusts.

No Significant crop losses have been reported in the States of Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhatisgarh, Bihar and Haryana. However, some minor crop losses have been reported in some districts of Rajasthan.

Swarms of immature pink locusts and adult yellow locusts are active in Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Nagaur, Dausa, and Bharatpur of Rajasthan State and Jhansi and Mahoba districts of Uttar Pradesh.
