കൂൺ കൃഷിയിൽ നേട്ടം കൊയ്ത് വനിതാകർഷകർ

ഇലകമൺ ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തിലെ വനിതാ കർഷകരുടെ കൂൺ കൃഷി വിളവെടുപ്പ് ഉദ്ഘാടനം പഞ്ചായത്ത്‌  പ്രസിഡൻഡ്  സൂര്യ.ആർ നിർവഹിച്ചു. പാളയംകുന്ന് വനിതാ കർഷകയുടെ വീട്ടിൽ  നടന്ന ചടങ്ങിൽ  ഇലകമൺ അസിസ്റ്റന്റ് കൃഷി ഓഫീസർ ബാലകൃഷ്ണൻ  ആദ്യ വിൽപ്പന ഏറ്റു വാങ്ങി.

പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ വനിതകൾക്ക്  സ്ഥിര വരുമാനവും വിഷരഹിത പച്ചക്കറി ലഭ്യമാക്കാനും  ലക്ഷ്യമിട്ടാണ്  കൂൺ കൃഷി പദ്ധതി നടപ്പാക്കിയത്. രണ്ട് ഘട്ടങ്ങളായി നൂറ് പേര്‍ക്ക് പരിശീലനം നൽകിയിരുന്നു. 50 പേർ അടങ്ങുന്ന ആദ്യഘട്ടത്തിലെ വിളവെടുപ്പിന്റെ ഉദ്ഘാടനമാണ് ഇന്ന് നടന്നത്. 500 കിലോയോളം വരുന്ന കൂൺ ഇതിൽ നിന്നും വിളവെടുക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചു.

 ഒരു മാസം കൊണ്ട് ലാഭകരമായി വിളവെടുക്കാന്‍ കഴിയുന്ന തുടര്‍ കൃഷിരീതിയിലാണ് പരിശീലനം. കൃഷിക്കാവശ്യമായ വിത്തും അനുബന്ധ സാമഗ്രികളും സൗജന്യമായി നൽകിയി രുന്നു.ഇതിനായി പഞ്ചായത്ത് പ്ലാന്‍ ഫണ്ടില്‍ നിന്നും 12500 രൂപയാണ് നീക്കിവച്ചത്. പദ്ധതിയുടെ ആദ്യ ഘട്ടം വിജയം കണ്ടതിനെത്തുടർന്ന് കൂടുതൽ ആളുകളിലേക്ക് കൂൺ കൃഷി വ്യാപിപ്പിക്കാൻ പഞ്ചായത്ത്‌  ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. പഞ്ചായത്ത് വൈസ്  പ്രസിഡന്റ് ലൈജു രാജ് , വാർഡ് മെമ്പർമാർ, വനിതാ കർഷകർ, നാട്ടുകാർ തുടങ്ങിയവർ ചടങ്ങിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തു.

Panchayat President Surya.R inaugurated the mushroom cultivation of women farmers in Elakaman Grama Panchayat. Elakaman Assistant Agriculture Officer Balakrishnan accepted the first sale at a function held at the Palayamkunnu woman farmer's house.

The mushroom cultivation scheme was implemented with the objective of providing regular income and non-toxic vegetables to the women of the panchayat. One hundred people were trained in two phases. Today marks the inauguration of the first phase of the harvest, comprising 50 people. About 500 kg of mushrooms could be harvested from it.

The training is on continuous farming methods which can be harvested profitably in a month. Seeds and allied materials required for cultivation were provided free of cost. For this `12500 was set apart from the Panchayat Plan Fund. Following the success of the first phase of the project, the panchayat intends to expand mushroom cultivation to more people. Panchayat Vice President Laiju Raj, ward members, women farmers and locals were present on the occasion.
